We are Suka. We create brands, strategy, design, content. We listen. We learn. And we love our clients. We may wear black from time to time, but we leave our egos at the door. We’re unflappable, and nimble. And we don’t rest until we deliver extraordinary work.

about

capabilities

We create work that tells stories in ways that inspire.
For 25 years, we’ve built trusted partnerships with an extraordinary roster of Fortune 100 companies, financial firms, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers and higher learning institutions.

We limit the number of engagements we take so that we can go deep with the organizations we serve — uncovering insights and crafting stories to create uniquely compelling work.

Strategy

Our strategic approach guides everything we do. We explore brand, business and audience needs, uncover the essence of your organization, and create design that imparts meaning and inspires action.

Branding

Engaging, smart brands tell great stories. We seek the heart of an institution’s story and express it verbally and visually in ways that inspire. And we create a roadmap for you to maintain it over time.

Interactive + Motion

Websites to campaigns, motion to development, our interactive work combines content with cutting-edge design to yield solutions that meet business needs and user objectives.

Print

Capabilities brochures. Fundraising suites. Annual reports. Information graphics. Influenced by today’s highly visual culture, we create engaging print materials tailored to your needs.

Consulting

As quintessential problem solvers, we analyze your pain points and identify solutions to your brand, marketing, visual communication challenges to reveal opportunities and drive growth.

Photo + Video

If a picture is worth a thousand words, video speaks volumes. We bring strategic communication to life with imagery that inspires audiences. And by fusing content with design, we make good stories great.

philosophy

Be true partners.
We thrive on collaboration and the exchange of ideas. We listen for the context and nuance that transforms brands and businesses.

National Philanthropic Trust: Interactive timeline
Visit Website

The Challenge

National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) turned to Suka for help in reimagining a long-existing web-based timeline into a fully immersive, interactive and responsive experience. With a newly modern approach, A History of Modern Philanthropy seeks to inspire the curiosity and interests of the younger generations who want to learn about philanthropy, while also speaking to donors and financial advisors about the historical and global scale of philanthropy.

The Solution

Suka designed a timeline experience that allows users to explore and engage through various entry points based on their interests. To articulate the global story, each point on the timeline aligns with a location on a map so that as users explore they are able to visually see the growth of philanthropy around the world. Bolstered by client-curated historical content and media assets dating from the 1500s to the present, A History of Modern Philanthropy delivers a dynamic educational resource to the client’s audience and the general public.

The Challenge

One of the largest asset management firms specializing in the community banking sector, StoneCastle Partners approached Suka to help them redefine their website experience to address the unique user needs of multiple audiences. Additionally, StoneCastle tasked Suka with establishing a new look and feel that represented the expertise and sophistication of the firm.

The Solution

The new StoneCastle site featured a user flow that addressed the needs of three distinct audiences: Depository Institutions, Treasury Professionals and Fixed Income Investors. Upon landing on the site, users self-identify and are funneled into areas that serve as isolated experiences within the same website. Additionally, the site was developed on a content management system that streamlined administration through modular design and tagging structures.

The Solution

Suka designed and developed a responsive, mobile-friendly website for NYSTEC that is accessible across desktop, smartphone and tablet devices. We performed competitive research and defined user goals and user flows to improve the information architecture, site navigation, user experience and visual design of NYSTEC’s site. The Challenge

A nonprofit mortgage lender, The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) emerged from a reorganization with renewed strength and vigor. To help differentiate itself amid growing competition from commercial banks and other lenders, CPC engaged Suka to develop new messaging, a brand identity and a website that would reflect both the history of the organization and its new existence.

The Solution

The discovery and research process uncovered the very human impact of CPC’s work. The new brand identity worked to bring this to the forefront by employing round lettering and circles to suggest collaboration, rather than using hard edges and right angles, which tend to evoke rigidity. The new identity also represented a modern sensibility that was carried out through the creative development of brand assets, stationery, marketing collateral and a website.

With the annual report wrapping the larger student book, the combined books seamlessly presented as one when bound but also were effective as independent pieces once separated. While the annual report, titled For the Record, reported the achievements of the organization, the student book communicated a firsthand voice of students featured.
